What's the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2?
Phase 1 (generation) requires electronic invoices with set fields and a QR code. Phase 2 (integration) connects you to ZATCA's Fatoora platform: standard invoices are cleared before they're shared, and simplified invoices are reported within 24 hours.
Does my business have to integrate with Phase 2?
ZATCA brings businesses into Phase 2 in waves based on their revenue, and notifies each one in advance. If you've been notified, or expect to be, choose the Scale plan or above.
What happens if ZATCA rejects an invoice?
The invoice is flagged with ZATCA's reason so you can correct it and send it again. Nothing is lost, and the audit trail keeps its full history.
Do I need special hardware?
No. Onboarding is done online with a one-time code from the Fatoora portal, for each branch or POS terminal that issues invoices.
